中繼器充當BTS和移動台之間的中繼。它通過施主天線從BTS接收低功率信號，對其進行線性放大，然後通過覆蓋天線將其重新傳輸到弱/盲覆蓋區域。並且移動信號也被放大並經由相反的方向重發到BTS。

The RF Repeater is designed to provide a more cost-effective solution than adding a new Base Transceiver Station (BTS) to improve signal coverage and communication quality. And its easy installation and maintenance can help carrier get fast return. 

The repeater is working as a relay between the BTS and mobiles. It receives the low-power signal from BTS via the Donor Antenna, linearly amplifies the signal and then retransmits it via the Coverage Antenna to the weak/blind coverage area. And the mobile signal is also amplified and retransmitted to the BTS via the opposite direction.
