Fiber Optic BDA旨在解決遠離基站收發器（BTS）且地下有光纜網絡的地方移動信號弱的問題。該系統由兩部分組成：主控單元和遠程單元。主單元通過施主天線捕獲 BTS 信號，然後將其轉換為光信號，並通過光纖電纜將放大後的信號傳輸到遠程單元。遠程單元會將光信號重新轉換為射頻信號，並將信號提供給網絡覆蓋不足的區域。並且移動信號也被放大並通過相反的方向重傳到BTS。

The Fiber Optic BDA is designed to solve problems of weak mobile signal in the place that is far away from the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and has fiber optic cable network underground. The system consists of two parts: Master Unit and Remote Unit. The Master unit captures the BTS signal via donor antenna, then converts it into optic signal and transmits the amplified signal to the Remote Unit via fiber optic cable. The Remote unit will reconvert the optic signal into RF signal and provide the signal to the areas where network coverage is inadequate. And the mobile signal is also amplified and retransmitted to the BTS via the opposite direction.
